Asana Integration for Playwright Test Failures

Asana

Overview

The Asana integration lets you create tasks directly from failed or flaky Playwright tests. Each task is prefilled with the test name, error type, file path, branch, commit details, environment, run ID, duration, and number of attempts.

The description includes failure information, test steps with the failing attempt and step duration, console output, and links to the TestDino run and GitHub commit. Screenshots and attachments are added automatically.

Key features

  • Prefilled tasks with error details, test steps, and screenshots
  • Configurable workspace, project, labels, and assignee
  • Test history pattern included in every task
  • Console output and evidence attachments
  • Available on Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans

How it works

Connect your Asana account

In Project Settings, then Integrations, connect an Asana account. Authorize the TestDino app and set a default workspace.

Create a task from any failure

Open a failed or flaky test, click Create Asana Task, select the workspace and project, and review the prefilled form.

Keep workspace settings in sync

Use Sync to update workspace settings. Disconnect any time from the Integrations page.

What TestDino prefills for you

Every Asana task includes the workspace, project, labels, and assignee. The title follows the format [TestCase] test name followed by the error type.

The description covers test details, failure information with error type and message, test history, the failing step with duration and error, console output, and links. Screenshots and attachments are added as evidence.

The Raise Issue button appears only on failed or flaky test cases inside a test run detail view, and Asana is a user-level integration — each teammate connects their own account and tasks are created under their identity.
